Cardiac rehabilitation in Exeter

Absolute Contradictions to Exercise for Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Do not exercise if you have any of these!
- Unstable angina- angina at rest, unpredictable, at lower levels than usual or diagnosed within the last month
- Unstable or acute heart failure
- Unstable diabetes
- New or uncontrolled arrhythmias
- Resting or uncontrolled tachycardia- heart rate > 100 bpm
- Resting SBP>180 mmHg or resting DBP 100mmHg
- Symptomatic hypotension- low blood pressure with fainting , dizziness
- Febrile illness- fever-like symptoms
These conditions are considered unsafe to exercise alongside without the supervision of a medical professional.
